چکیده
Abstract Electronic waste is a dominant global issue with over 50 million tons generated annually. Still, as an amalgamation of precious and rare raw materials, electronic considerable economic resource the most valuable components located on printed circuit boards. Gold widely used in electronics numerous applications, although principally for contact points external connectors. The recovery gold, due to its high value, one main motivations recycling e-waste. Although pyrometallurgy hydrometallurgy processing are still preferred modes use high-energy consuming pyro-methods, gold cyanidation that uses harmful lixiviants increasingly discouraged. Thiourea has received attention alternative lixiviant leaching fast reaction kinetics less nature. This review aims provide up-to-date evaluation thiourea-gold studies from waste, emphasis recent progression classic chemical method more sustainable hybrid bioleaching-based system, while challenges highlighted. complementary methods applied retrieval pregnant solution also described focus have potential closed-loop key objective material circular economy. Leaching of gold from a mechanically and mechanochemically activated waste
The intensification of leaching of gold from a waste using mechanical activation (milling in water) and mechanochemical activation (milling in thiourea solution) were studied as the pretreatment steps. The leaching of “as-received“ sample in an acid thiourea solution resulted in 78 % Au dissolution, after mechanical activation 98 % and mechanochemical activation up to 99 % of the gold was leach...

Samples of the waste rock obtained from Marofengin South Africa ground 60, 70 and 80% passing 75µm were leached with cyanide in bottle roll tests. The results obtained showed that the percentage gold dissolution depends more on the ore size consists than on the cyanide concentration with the highest average dissolution rates of 88.75, 94.34 and 95.90% found at 600, 500 and 500 ppm, for 60, ...
متن کاملLeaching of Gold and Silver from Crushed Au-Ag Wastes
Au-Ag noble metal wastes represent a wide range of waste types and forms with various ballast elements and components. The thiourea process of gold and silver extraction from ores, concentrates or secondary raw materials consists of gold and silver leaching into the thiourea solution and the consequent precipitation of these metals from the solution. Due to the non-toxic character of thiourea i...

Construction waste is considered as a major contributor of solid wastes in municipal landfills. Construction, renovation, and demolition (CRD) waste generated by the Canadian construction industry accounts for 27% of total municipal solid waste disposed in landfills. However, many researchers stated that 75% of what the construction industry generates as waste has a residual value and therefore...
